Step 1- Set a Date

Do you dream of a gorgeous wedding adorned with Fall colors, or a Winter wonderland wedding? Maybe you love the gorgeous pastel colors associated with Spring or the bright colors of Summer? Pick a date based on what you're looking for weather wise, colors, theme and if you are dreaming of a mountain location, make sure to check if the roads to that location are open year-round! (I can help with all this if you haven't already set a date!)

Step 2- The Venue

Where do you dream of saying your "I do's"? Do you prefer rustic barn venues or sophisticated clean, crisp venues? Or do you prefer a traditional church for your ceremony? I can give you ALL the recommendations! Here is a list of some of my favorites in each category!

Step 3- Your Vendors

After you have set a date and secured a venue, you will have to do some research to locate vendors that service the area your venue is located in and who fit your needs! I offer planning assistance to all of my couples, meaning that I will help you locate vendors that match what you are looking for! Here is a basic list of vendor categories that you will need for your wedding!

• Photographer
• Videographer
• Catering
• Florist
• Officiant
• Hair and Makeup Artist
• Stationary (Invitations, Signage, Etc..)
• Music (DJ, Band)
• Bakery
• Venue
• Rental Company (Tables, Chairs, Linens, Etc..)

Once you have researched your vendors, narrow it down to a few who fit what you are seeking, and schedule phone calls or in-person meetings with them to see if they are knowledgeable, have a personality that you mesh well with, and seem excited to work with you!

Step 4- Make the Day Yours

There are SO many ways that you can really add a unique flare to your day that will make it memorable for not only you, but your guests as well! Wedding favors are not the way to do this... usually people don't take the favors and you can take the money you would've spent on favors and allocate it for something really special! Here are some suggestions-

• Live music- violinist or harpist for your ceremony and a rockin' band for your reception
• Different Desserts- Smore's Bar, Crumbl Cookies, Caramel Apple Bar, Donuts, Ice Cream Truck, the list is endless!
• Photo Dash during the reception.
• Fun Photo Booth
• Eclectic Dinner Menu
• Hire a Live Painter
