Abso-frickin-lutely!! I believe that love is truly blind. When you find the person your heart desires, the color of their skin or their gender identity DOES NOT matter! I grew up with 2 moms, one Black and one White and little me didn't care and big me still doesn't!
01. TO ELOPE OR NOT TO ELOPE?
This is a super personal decision to make, it definitely depends immensely on what is important to you. If having your family present is super important to you, eloping may not be the best option. If you want to have an extremely intimate experience with your partner as you say "I DO" eloping would be an amazing option!
02. WHERE?!
Do you enjoy hiking, or long walks by a beautiful lake? Are you having guests that the accessibility of your location will need to accommodate? When I met my husband I promised to be his "Colorado tour guide" and I have stuck to that so I know a bajillion amazing locations depending on what you are looking for!
03. SPRING, SUMMER, WINTER OR FALL?
Colorado is a high elevation state so the seasons play a huge part in WHERE you can adventure to! A lot of alpine locations will be closed during late fall, winter and early spring. The colors of the trees in fall are immaculate and you can find fields full of wildflowers in summer.
04. WHO?!
Elopements are designed to be a more intimate experience between partners. Choose who you want to accompany you wisely. The vast majority of the elopements I photograph are JUST the two halves that make up the whole but that does NOT mean you can't have family or friends present!
05. ALL THE DEETS
There are a ton of locations in Colorado that require permits or reservations to photograph at or even be in certain locations, I deal with all of the applying/making reservations for you! Couples are responsible for the fees but I take care of everything else!
06. LEGAL MUMBO JUMBO
Colorado is a self-solemnization state, meaning there is no need for an officiant or even witnesses! Not all states are like this though, some states require an officiant and witnesses!
